Method 1
1)   Download player database as.csv file.
2)   Open Names file, normally saved in Clubdata as “Names.txt to see file layout.Line up columns in same sequence as Names.txt file. You only need the first 9 columns as follows First, Name, Last Name Nickname EBU, 2 blank columns and Club ID if you have/are assigning these numbers for BridgePal input. Missing columns are imported with no data by BridgeScore.
3)   Sequence player database file as in step2
4)   Save file as a ‘csv. New name is recommended in case of errors
5)   Rename .csv extension to .txt
6)   Import new file to BridgeScore Names by using “Get” option in Names menu

Method 2
1)   Using Excel or similar Open Names file, normally saved in Clubdata as “Names.txt. You will need to change Excel to look for all file types
2)   Excel will recognise it as a delimited file and take you through several steps. Select options as follows
a.   Delimited and Headers
b.   Comma, deselect Tab
c.   General format
3)   Paste in required data from player database.
4)   Save as a .csv. New name is recommended in case of errors
5)   Rename .csv extension to .txt
6)   Import new file to BridgeScore Names by using “Get” option in Names menu

Great stuff, Reg. Just wanted to mention that names.txt won't necessarily be in Clubdata. When Bridgescore is installed for the first time, the user will have to enter club name which creates an empty club record, without any names and there will be no file names.txt in Clubdata/'clubname'. It would be a good idea to add one name to the list of names at this point and then click Export Names to Text File, without actually sending the email. This will create names.txt in Clubdata/'clubname', which will enable you to proceed with Method 1 step 2)  or Method 2 step 1)

As from BridgeScore release 2.9.23 Names can be exported/uploaded to and imported/downloaded from Bridgewebs directly, via Names screen Import/export menu.
