Release Infomation / BridgePal Server Release 2.5.5
« Last post by johng on November 03, 2024, 18:12:57 »
There is a new release of BridgePal Server available. You can download and install v2.5.5 from the "Download PC Components" page of the BridgePal website (second button on the page). It contains the following changes:

1. Fixes a bug which prevented Bridge Dealer saving the hand record when invoked from the Read Board menu function in the BridgePal app "Player Functions" menu.

2. The text for vulnerable directions in the bidding table header is now shown as white on a red background for improved readability.

Support / Re: Error 91

Hi John
If the problem can be reproduced with another event then having an event file is less useful. What would be really good if the scorer could describe how she can reproduce it. What does she in particular do?
Thank you
Mirna :)

Hi Mirna

Our computer is with another scorer at the moment; she got the error

She could reproduce it with another event

I will send file on Monday if I don't manage to fix the problem

Hi John,
Could you please send me the event file - click on Export on the list of events. Also if you could send me the log file c:/ClubData/xlogs/bridgescore.txt.
Thank you

I don't suppose you were able to reproduce the error?

Support / Re: Beware minimising the View Movement form

In the new release of BridgeScore, version 4.1.0, this problem has been addressed.. The form will automatically expand to show all tables i.e. there is no need to maximise it. You then just need to click on the Close x on the top right hand corner of the form to exit/close the form, there is no minimise any more.

Unfortunately this issue hasn't been resolved yet. I cannot repeat it as it always works for me. I assumed it is related to the particular region, but it doesn't happen to me when I change the region on my PC. It would be interesting to hear if anybody else has this problem.

General Discussion / Re: choosing one or two winners when setting up the movement

Thanks.
I see! Very helpful.

Hi Mary.

Most movements in the dropdown are 1 winner movements.
This is because they are mainly Howells or Hesitation Mitchells.
There are some 2 winner movements e.g. 8 Table Double Weave Mitchell or web Mitchell's.

2 winners are normally when you define your own movement. just enter what you want e.g. 6 table Mitchell 4 boards per round etc. will be for 2 winners

Hope this helps.
