I recently purchased 7 Huawei T3 tablets for our club. After performing all the usual set up items I was disappointed to find that kiosk mode would not work. I now have a solution to this.
1) Open settings
2) Click on 'About'
3) Click on 'Build Number' 7 times until you see the 'You are now a developer' message
4) Go back to settings menu
5) Click on 'Developer Options'
6) Click on 'Demo Mode'
7) Select 'Enable'
Go back to Developer Options menu
9) Set 'Developer' to off
10) Restart the tablet
Kiosk mode can now be selected.
