Handicaps - DNQ
« on: January 29, 2020, 10:27:31 »
Hi all

This is a most unusual problem and has never occurred before. One of our pairs gets a DNQ in the Handicaps Results screen. This has never occurred for this pair before. Is it likely to be a corrupted Handicaps file or could there be some other reason?

I have solved this issue. The reason was that a member ID name had been changed because it had been misspelled. The original misspelled name remained in the handicaps file and thus did not match that of the member.

It depends how you create/maintain handicaps -

If you maintain a handicap file then the pair in question has probably been deleted from the file

If you use handicaps in the Names database, then the handicap for at least one of the pair has been deleted - i.e. it is blank (not 0).

Worth checking...

(D.N.Q means 'doesn't qualify')

I had this problem once and realised I had not assigned a handicap to say Fred
We use the scrolling screen from round 2 so I saw that there was a DNQ
In flight I think went into names, added a new name Fred 2 with a handicap and hey presto all working well.
